Print buying and being part of the tender process has been a large part of my working life. I enjoy delivering the best possible design solution from start to finish. Liaising with print companies in regards to paper stocks, on-trend finishes, cost effective pricing and delivery is something I think I do well.

I have been part of tender bids for print. My part in large was to ensure that quality standards would be met by the tendering party who won the contract. I had to ensure I was confident in there services in order to award them the project.

In terms of quality control I have in previous roles travelled to overseas print houses to inspect work in production to ensure that standards were being met and to also problem solve any issues that may arise while the job is printing. This would involve inspecting the job at different stages of the process.

This I find really enjoyable, I love the pre-press stages and being on the shop floor.
