Packaging design
I have been very fortunate to work within the food industry for both wholesalers and retailers such as Kent Foods Ltd and Baxters Food Group.
Following the design process, I was able to create some great designs that I can see on supermarket shelves today, like the Deli Toppers below.
Within this project I got the great opportunity to travel to Poland to press pass these labels on the print floor. I was able to control any issues with the print spread of with there were a few as these were printed using a clear acrylic label.

Baxters Range of Summer Relishes
The design brief called for a design solution for a range of Summer Relishes. Packaging (both container and SRPs) were to be considered alongside label design for each SKU.
Working through the design process I completed brainstorming, research on competitors and what was already in existence. I also created hand-drawn sketches of packaging solutions. These initial concepts were presented to my Marketing team who gave me their thoughts on possible developments.
These concepts were then developed into real illustrations using a mixture of packaging such as Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
Food photography, branding, marketing copy and the legal food spec there all considered until the final design solution was approved.
After the project a meeting was held to gage what went well in the process and what could have been improved.
